The Stingray development board is the ultimate solution for developing on the powerful Atmel Xmega platform. It is packed with input/output functions, displays, and serial peripherals. It even has an onboard USB programmer which eliminates the need to buy another external device. The voltage regulators give you access to both 5.0V and 3.3V power with an input up to 20V. Every pin on the Xmega is also routed to an external connection for you to use however you want.

Unlike many traditional 8-bit microcontrollers, the Xmega family is capable of running at 32MHz and features a wide array of hardware peripherals not seen previously. This includes 8 USARTS, 8 16-bit timers, 4 SPI, 4 TWI (I2C), a DMA controller, and AES cryptography all built into hardware. Xmega also utilizes the Atmel picoPower® technology which gives it the lowest power consumption possible.

The Xmega microcontroller is incredibly powerful, and when combined with the Stingray development board, it allows you to develop to your fullest potential.
